Sark Folk Festival Day Three

(download)

The day that the Stag and Hen combined. A Sten party, or a Hag Night? I'm unsure what to call it other than fun.

Suited and booted, Robin Hood and his merry men, joined Maid Marion and the other ladies of the court for archery, drinks and food before retiring to the festival for more of the same.

From the reaction of the crowds, we at least brought a smile to some of the faces of our fellow festival goers.

As day gave way to night, the fires were lit once again. For some night gave way to day but for all it was the last day; but a good day.

Sark Folk Festival Day Two

(download)

The morning after the night before for some. The start of the festival for most.

A glorious day, turned into a beautiful sunset and then a chilly night.

The day filled with music, ale, food, friends and the kind of atmosphere that only a couple of thousand people out to enjoy themselves can bring.

Sark Folk Festival Day One

The night before the festival, or the calm before the storm - it all depends on your point of view.

The BBQ, Pubs and campfires signalled the start of a great weekend.

A Thousand Words

(download)

I've found a new app to play with; the fantastic WordFoto. Select an image, enter some text and will use those words to make up the image.

My only complaint is that it does tend to favour the shorter words in an sentence. So I which there was a way to assign 'priority' words to ensure that they are highlighted more frequently. But with a little trail and error you can get some nice results.

About The One I Have With Me

There are two types of photography. There is the carefully considered and pre-visualised shot taken with the the kind of equipment that gives you full control over the resulting image.

This is my site for the other kind. The kind where you shoot on instinct, using the one camera that you always have at your side - the camera in your phone.

Little control, just set it, just shoot it.
